Lauren Hock has spent more than a decade studying and working with hotels from coast to coast. Lauren has significant experience appraising hotels throughout the New Orleans metropolitan area, various markets along the Gulf Coast, and others regionally. She earned her BS in Hotel Administration from Cornell University, working her way up to Student Supervisor at the school’s full-service Statler Hotel. Her next hospitality appointment was with the Sanctuary at Kiawah Island Hotel & Resort in Charleston, South Carolina. Later, Lauren rose from Guest Services Manager to Rooms Executive after just one year at the Cliffs Resort in Shell Beach, California, where she tracked budgets, supervised hotel staff, and worked with sales managers to improve rates and occupancy levels; she ultimately took the helm as Hotel Manager, working closely with staff to provide guests with a cohesive resort experience, from restaurant to rooms.
